Have you heard the great news? We have a special section in our Stetson Hills Library for parents, grandparents, guardians, counselors, teachers and administrators! The SHELF Library has been awarded two grants by the Arizona PTA Parent Involvement Project. This funding has allowed us to build a wonderful collection of books and DVDs for you to check out .
The purpose of this special area of the library is to help educate and open lines of communication between adult and child regarding subjects such as bullying, drug abuse and addiction, positive behavior, puberty, self-esteem, adoption, autism, bipolar disorder, loss of a parent, divorce, raising gifted children and parenting.
To encourage use of the SHELF library, we will hold a monthly drawing for a free gift carding starting in September. To be eligible, you must borrow a book by checking it out with the school librarian. Then return a completed survey form to the library before the end of the month.
Please take some time to visit the library and browse the books in the SHELF section. Without the paricipation of our parents, we will not be able to receive future grant money to expand this special collection of resoures.
Thank you to everyone that utilized this great resorce last year and submitted surveys with wonderful input and suggestions. This is a huge asset to our school library and wouldn't be possible without your support.
